Medomak Valley girls basketball dominates Morse

WALDOBORO — The Medomak Valley varsity girls basketball program extended its winning streak to three on Tuesday, Dec. 18 when the Panthers dominated Morse 61-26. 

Previously, the Panthers topped Mount View (50-25) and Camden Hills (40-28) after falling to Gardiner in the regular season opener 53-44. 

With the victory, the Panthers improve to 3-1 with its next contest on Thursday, Dec. 20 at home against Nokomis with a 7 p.m. start. 

Morse, meanwhile, now sits at 0-4 on the season. 

In the Tuesday contest, the Panthers held quarterly advantages of 20-2, 38-5 and 52-12. 

Scoring for Medomak Valley were Autumn Ripley (two points), Zaniah Puchalski (three), Aubrey Schaeffer (10), Emma Kunesh (two), Abby Lash (nine), Maddy White (one), Mackenzie Bickmore (two), Kayla Donlin (10), Sadie Cohen (10), Alyssa Creamer (four) and Lydia Simmons (eight). 

Scoring for Morse were Julia Goodard (eight points), Marija Medenica (two), Dory Kulis (three), K. Creiner (three), Abby Sreden (two), Olivia Chabot (four), Hannah Gates (two) and Kaylee Garland (two).
