Medomak sixth girls basketball places second in Rockland Harbor tournament

ROCKLAND — The Medomak sixth grade girls travel basketball team placed second in the Rockland Harbor tournament that took place Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10. 

The Medomak roster includes Lilly Christ, Skylar Hills, Audrey Jackson, Roisin Hopkins, Erica Waite, Emily Richards, Paige Jarvis, Kytana Williamson and Sadie Knight. The team is coached by Andrea and Richard Williamson. 

Game One: Medomak 36, Dexter 12

Medomak held quarterly advantages of 10-4, 21-6 and 31-9. 

Scoring for Medomak were Kytana Williamson (seven points), Knight (two), Jackson (14), Christ (six), Waite (two), Jarvis (two) and Hills (three). 

Scoring for Dexter were Keirra Bennett (two points), Kallie Stone (three), Abbie Corson (four) and Desiree Adams (three). 

Game Two: Medomak 35, Midcoast 6

Medomak held quarterly advantages of 5-0, 16-4 and 28-6. 

Scoring for Medomak were Kytana Williamson (11 points), Hopkins (one), Knight (two), Jackson (eight), Jarvis (two) and Hills (two). 

Scoring for Midcoast were Mauwa Jordan (one point), Sianna Geretz (two) and Lily Stackpole (three). 

Game Three: Mount Ararat 42, Medomak 36

Mount Ararat held quarterly advantages of 12-6, 19-14 and 29-26. 

Scoring for Medomak were Kytana Williamson (11 points), Jackson (15), Christ (six), Jarvis (two) and Hills (two). 

Scoring for Mount Ararat were Cali Pomerleau (23 points), Avery Beal (five), Islah Godo (seven) and Tarynn Keleher (six). 

Game Four: Medomak 42, Camden 35

Medomak held quarterly advantages of 12-11, 29-17 and 40-23. 

Scoring for Medomak were Kytana Williamson (five points), Hopkins (four), Knight (two), Jackson (10), Christ (four), Waite (seven), Jarvis (one) and Hills (seven). 

Scoring for Camden were Veronica Waters (three points), Britta Denny (five), Charlotte Delehey (12), Leah Snyder (four), Rose Tohanczyn (10). 

Game Five: Mount Ararat 48, Medomak 15 (Championship)

Mount Ararat held quarterly advantages of 8-4, 23-8 and 35-12. 

Scoring for Medomak were Kytana Williamson (eight points), Knight (one), Christ (two), Waite (two) and Jarvis (two). 

Scoring for Mount Ararat were Cali Pomerleau (nine points), Avery Beal (12), Islah Godo (two), Elena Willis (nine), Mary Beal (six), Kennedy Lampert (two), Annabelle Pineau (two), Lizzy Grinder (two) and Tarynn Keleher (four).
