Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Two arrests

Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 244 calls between May 14 and 21. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 6,270 calls for service.

Summonses

Jacqueline K. Hassengpflug, 22, of Bristol was issued summonses May 10 for Assault and Criminal Trespass, on Split Rock Road, Bristol, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.

Donald C. McKay, 59, of Edgecomb was issued a summons May 14 for Operating While License is Suspended or Revoked – Prior, on Ocean Point Road, Boothbay, by Deputy David Bellows.

Henry D. Thompson III, 33, of Newcastle was issued summonses May 18 for Eluding an Officer and Driving to Endanger, at the Knox County Jail, Rockland, by Sgt. Matthew Day.

Dawn R. Light, 36, of Nobleboro was issued a summons May 19for Violating Condition of Release, on Grace Ave, Waldoboro, by Deputy Sean Pfahler.

Arrests

Konstantinos M. Rigas, 31, of Boothbay Harbor was arrested May 15 for Assault, on Miles Street, Damariscotta, by Deputy David Bellows, who was assisted by Deputy First Class Brian Collamore.

Cody J. Devenger, 31, of Trevett was arrested May 19 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Back River Road, Boothbay, by Sgt. Mark Bridgham, on behalf of Deputy Chase Bosse.

Accidents

On May 14, an accident occurred on Ridge Road in Newcastle involving Charles R. Johnson, 56, of Newcastle. Mr. Johnson was operating his 2017 school bus northbound when he stated that an unknown vehicle was traveling southbound and crossed the centerline, causing Mr. Johnson to take evasive action. As a result, the right side tires left the right side of the roadway and entered the soft shoulder, causing the top and mid-section to impact a CMP pole, causing significant damage.  Deputy David Bellows was the investigating officer.

On May 16, an accident occurred on Cedar Grove Road in Dresden involving Murphy J. Hadsell, 29, of Topsham. Mr. Hadsell was operating his 2008 Ford F150 eastbound when the engine compartment caught fire, causing the majority of his vehicle to be heavily damaged. Deputy David Bellows was the investigating officer.

On May 18, an accident occurred on Duck Puddle Road in Nobleboro involving Ashley M. Carter, 29, of Nobleboro and Jacob A. Robison, 21, of Nobleboro. Ms. Carter was operating her 2014 Ford Escape southbound and started to make a left turn into her driveway. Mr. Robison was also traveling southbound in his 2001 Ford Expedition, behind Carter’s vehicle, and went around her vehicle on the left, as Carter was turning left. As a result, Robison struck Carter’s vehicle on the driver’s door, continued around her vehicle, drove across the neighbor’s lawn, onto Duck Puddle Road and left the area. Reserve Deputy Dwight Fowles was the investigating officer.

On May 20, an accident occurred on Townhouse Road in Whitefield involving Shawn A. Dinsmore, 49, of Newcastle. Mr. Dinsmore was operating his 2005 GMC 1500 northbound when a deer crossed the road in front of his truck and was struck. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.

On May 20, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Gabrielle A. Crosson, 23, of Pittston. Ms. Crosson was operating her 2004 Subaru Forester southbound when she stated she fell asleep, causing her vehicle to cross the center line into the northbound travel lane, when she then struck a tree and rolled over and down an embankment, where her vehicle came to rest on its roof. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
