Learning to Calm Down at the Rockport Public Library

ROCKPORT — The holidays can make anyone feel stressed, overwhelmed, and exhausted — and some people feel that intensity regularly. On Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m., the Rockport Public Library will host a free program called “Simple Ways to Calm Your Nervous System.”

Local wellness coach Hester Kohl Brooks will introduce three tools to help individuals relax, release tension, and achieve more restful sleep. Participants are encouraged to dress in cozy clothing. The library will be providing warm, soothing beverages and snacks.

Hester Kohl Brooks offers 1:1 coaching to help women break the cycles of exhaustion and create a rested life. She is trained as a national board-certified health and wellness coach, certified Daring to Rest yoga nidra facilitator and rest coach. She offers yoga nidra, health coaching and rest coaching in the Midcoast and virtually.
