Knox County Criminal Docket closed cases

    ROCKLAND — The following cases were closed in Knox County Unified Court from March 18-22.

    Nicholas S. Cormier, 22, of Rockland, criminal trespass in Rockland Jan. 14, 2019, $200 fine.

    Jonathan D. Cougle, 22, of Owls Head, probation violation for original conviction of aggravated assault in Thomaston June 3, 2016, probation continued, no sentence imposed.

    Kerry Deehan, 44, of Spruce Head, operating under the influence (alcohol) in Rockland Feb. 3, 2019, $500 fine, license suspended 150 days.

    Joshua W. Ellis, 34, of Rockland, operating after habitual offender revocation, tow priors in Rockland Nov. 17, 2018, $1000 fine, nine months, one day in prison; police standoff; operating after registration suspended; violating condition of release, all occurring in Rockland Nov. 17, 2018, 30 day sin prison; failing to report in Rockand Nov. 2, 2018, six months in prison.

    Ellis surrendered police Nov. 17 at approximately 6:30 p.m. after causing a police standoff at a home on Bog Road in Rockland.

    Prior to the standoff at around 2 p.m. on the same day, Ellis was stopped by Rockland police while in his vehicle. An arrest warrant had been issued for Ellis for failing to report to jail.

    Ellis, the driver, refused to show his hands to police and drove away and went to the house, according to the police affidavit filed in court.

    Later, two adults and a juvenile who were in the home, left and Ellis was there alone.

    A Maine State Police tactical team, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Rockport police and Rockland police all responded to the scene. Ellis came out of the house when the Maine State Police arrived at the home.

    Irina Erickson, 47, of Rockland, failing to report in Rockland Oct. 26, 2018, 30 days in jail.

    Kayla M. Faller, 21, of Rockland, probation violation for original conviction of unlawful possession of scheduled drug in Rockland Aug. 1, 2018, four months in jail, probation partially revoked, probation continued.

    Steven Griffin, 25, of Litchfield, probation violation for original convicition of assault on an officer in Warren June 7, 2015, 90 days in jail, pronation partially revoked, probation continued.

    Tobey Moody, 43, of Hope, failure to register vehicle in Rockland Jan. 14, 2019, $100 fine.

    Veronica Morrison, 32, of Waldoboro, operating under the influence (alcohol) in Thomaston $500 fine, 72 hours in jail, license suspended 150 days.

    Michael J. Paulson, 42, of Spruce Head, hunting from stand or blind overlooking deer bait in Spruce Head Oct. 27, 2018, $200 fine.

    Victoria Porter, 54, of Camden, terrorizing, disorderly conduct, loud noise, private place, misuse of 9-1-1 system, all occurring in Rockland Feb. 18, 2018, 45 days in jail; violating condition of release in Rockland Jan. 1, 2019, 45 days in jail.

    Porter was arrested by Rockland police Feb. 20 for threatening to shoot her neighbor and made her initial appearance in Knox County Unified Court Feb. 21.

    According to the affidavit filed in court by Rockland police, they responded to a residence on Masonic Street during the evening of Feb. 18, after the Knox County Regional Communications Center received a call from a man that his neighbor was allegedly harassing him and his girlfriend. He said that Porter was banging on their adjoining apartment wall, yelling obscenities and threatening to shoot them.

    The victim said that he has been having ongoing harassment issues with Porter.

    Detective Joel Neal and Sgt. Scott Soloranzo were in the victim’s apartment and heard Porter yelling from next door. When the officers went to Porter’s apartment to speak with her, she refused to let them in her apartment, according to the affidavit.

    Rockland then police obtained an arrest warrant Feb. 20 and transported the woman to the Knox County Jail.

    Jonathan J. Sevon, 44, of Friendship, violating protection from abuse order in Friendship Nov. 10, 2018, four months in jail; domestic violence criminal threatening, priors, in Friendship Sept. 17, 2017, five months in jail, probation partially revoked, probation continued.

    Daniel N. Spear, 24, of Warren, violating condition of release, dismissed.

    Amanda Lee Thurston, 30, of Rockland, failing to license dog in Rockland Feb. 6, 2019, $50 fine.

    Devin M. Ward, 18, of Rockland, operating vehicle without license-conditions/restrictions in Rockland Jan. 17, 2019, $150 fine.
