Knox County Criminal Docket, closed cases

    ROCKLAND — The following cases were closed in Knox County Unified Court from Nov. 19-23.

    Michelle L. Betancourt, 43, of Bronx, N.Y., motor vehicle speeding, 30 plus miles over the speed limit in Rockport Oct. 3, $350 fine.

    Ryan Patrick Cox, 42, of Newcastle, failure to stop, remain, provide information in Warren April 21, $750 fine.

    Jerome J. Cushing, 37, Warren, domestic violence assault, three years in jail with all but six months suspended, probation three years; gross sexual assault, dismissed; domestic violence assault, one count, dismissed.

    Cushing was arrested July 9 by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office with gross sexual assault and two counts of domestic violence assault.

    According to the affidavit filed in Knox County Unified Court by Sgt. John Palmer, the victim told police that Cushing had assaulted her on numerous occasions.

    The victim said that Cushing sexually assaulted her in June because she had not returned his phone calls and text messages.

    She also reported another recent assault, causing bruising on her arm.

    Cushing denied the assault allegations and claimed that the woman’s brusing was caused when she helped him work underneath his car.

    The victim told police that Cushing had threatened her if she ever obtained a protection order against him.

    Cushing declined to take a polygraph examination, according to the affidavit.

    Korissa Dumond, 25, of Union, criminal mischief in Hope March 19, $250 fine.

    Jason P. Greene, 32, of Camden, failure to register vehicle in Camden Sept. 19, $150 fine.

    Lydia G. Haddock, 37, of Rockport, harassment by interference with taking in Rockport Sept. 20, $50 fine.

    Nicki Harvey, 19, of Waldoboro, operating while license suspended or revoked in Rockport Oct. 7, $250 fine.

    Wesley M. Herrick, 38, of Camden, littering in Camden Oct. 9, $200 fine, restitution $103.08.

    Ryley Hill, 34, of Rockland, allowing dog to be at large in Rockland Sept. 11, $50 fine.

    Dinah Minot Hubley, 60, of Portland, operating without safety equipment in North Haven Sept. 4, $100 fine.

    Jesse Mansfield, 21, of Rockland, motor vehicle speeding, 30 plus miles over speed limit in Rockport Oct. 13, $500 fine.

    Bobbi A. Oxton, 47, of Camden, allowing a dog to be at large in Camden Nov. 21, $50 fine.

    Nicholas A. Parker, 30, of Belmont, operating vehicle without license in Hope July 14, $250 fine.

    Shaunacy M. Peters, 24, of Rockport, operating vehicle without license in Rockland Sept. 30, $150 fine.

    William R. Saunders, 19, of Thomaston, minor consuming liquor in Rockland Aug. 24, $200 fine.

    Daniel Stone, 24, of South Thomaston, possessing lobster beyond minimum or maximum in Rockland Aug. 29, $5200 fine.

    Edward L. Vandyke, 22, of Rockland, operating vehicle without license, $250 fine; violating condition of release, $250 fine. Both incidents occurred in Thomaston Sept. 4.

    Matthew D. Wall, 37, of South Thomaston, violating condition of release, dismissed.

    Dana M. Wentworth, 27, of Vinalhaven, operating while license suspended or revoked in Vinalhaven May 11, $500 fine.

    Wesley S. Williams, 28, of Rockland, resident operator commercial fishing without license in Cushing May 12, $150 fine.
