Knox County Criminal Docket, closed cases

    ROCKLAND — The following cases were closed in Knox County Unified Court from Aug. 24-31.

    Ryan Atwood, 36, of Bingham, operating under the influence (alcohol), $500 fine, 72 hours in jail, license suspended 150 days.

    Louis H. Bettcher, 36, of Rockport, operating under the influence (alcohol), one prior, $900 fine, 270 days in jail with all but 10 days suspended, probation one year, license suspended three years.

    Zachary Collins, 19, of Camden, operating under the influence (alcohol), $500 fine, 24 hours in jail, license suspended 150 days; operating vehicle without license-conditions/restrictions, 24 hours in jail.

    Zachary James Curtis, 28, of Albion, assailt, $300 fine, seven days in jail.

    Dawn Dinsmore, 27, of Belmont, trafficking in prison contraband, dismissed; unlawful possession of scheduled drug, $400 fine, 21 days in jail.

    Michelle Doyle, 44, of Rockland, harassment by telephone, $500 fine; false public alarm or report, dismissed.

    John Joseph Flaherty, 37, of Camden, violating condition of release, 48 hours in jail; disorderly conduct, loud unreasonable noise, 48 hours in jail.

    Joseph B. Flynn, 36, of Rockport, operating after habitual offender revocation, prior, $1000 fine, seven months in jail; violating condition of release, dismissed; possessing suspended driver license.

    Carly Gilbert, 21, of Camden, domestic violence assault, 20 days in jail.

    Michael Goyette, 40, of Lewiston, unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs, $400 fine, three years in jail with all but six months suspended, probation three years.

    Ryan C. Guerrett, 29, of Augusta, operating while license suspended or revoed, $250 fine.

    Cheyne M. Hansen, 34, of Camden, disorderly conduct, fighting, dismissed.

    Katherine A. Harriman, 31, of Bangor, operating under the influence (alcohol), $500 fine, license suspended 150 days.

    Nathan Miller Hildings, 26, of Vinalhaven, untagged lobster traps, Chapter 25, $750 fine.

    Samara Kurek, 39, of Camden, stealing drugs, dismissed; theft by uauthorized taking or transfer, 45 days in jail; steaking drugs, 45 days in jail.

    Kurek was employed as a housekeeper in a Camden home and admitted to police that she stole prescription medication from her employer. She was charged Jan. 12, 2017 by Camden Police Detective Curt Andrick with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, a Class D crime.

    According to Lt. Mike Geary, the homeowner first contacted police Nov. 29, 2016, about the theft. Kurek was arrested following an investigation by Andrick.

    Jonathan Jones, 43, of Warren, failure to register vehicle, $150 fine.

    Renee L. Lawson, 28, of Owls Head, attaching false plates, dismissed; failure to register vehicle, $150 fine.

    Matthew J. Leigh, 22, of Washington, operating while license suspended or revoked-operating under the influence, $600 fine, seven days in jail, license suspended one year; operating ATV on public way, dismissed.

    Clara Malmstrom, 42, of Rockland, criminal mischief, $350 fine.

    Phillip M. McFadden, 25, of Belfast, operating under the influence (alcohol)-no test, two priors, 22 months in prison, probation partially revoked.

    Caleb J. Meklin, 24, of Thomaston, operating while license suspended or revoked, $500 fine.

    Stephen B. Mumford, 57, of New York, N.Y., motor vehicle speeding: 30 plus mph over speed limit, $400 fine.

    David E. Murray Jr., 46, of Pembroke, criminal mischief, two counts, seven days in jail.

    Mary Jane Anderson O’Brien, 65, of Longwood, Fla., theft by unauthorized taking or transfer dismissed.

    Arlen Riggs, 52, of Hope, operating under the influence (drugs or combination), dismissed.

    Gary W. Simmons, 46, of Waldoboro, domestic violence assault, priors, three years in jail with all but one year suspended, probation two years.

    Charles A. Simpson, 51, of Vinalhaven, untagged lobster traps, Chapter 25, $800 fine.

    Christopher Snow, 28, of Thomaston, criminal threatening, three counts, eight months in jail; criminal trespass, dismissed; disorderly conduct, offensive words, gestures, dismissed; refusing to submit to arrest or detention, physical force, eight months in jail; obstructing government administration, dismissed; terrorizing, two counts, eight months in jail.

    Snow was arrested by Thomaston police on July 20 and made his initial court appearance before Judge Cynthia Montgomery in Knox County Unified Court July 23.

    According to the affidavit filed in Knox County Unified Court by Thomaston Police Officer Juan Alcala, he responded to a residence on Shibles Lane in Thomaston for a report that Snow was drinking and was verbally aggressive with two people.

    Snow had already left the residence when police arrived and they found him walking on the street. Police asked Snow to stop and he refused and continued walking, according to the affidavit.

    Officer Noah Stevens arrived to assist at the scene and Snow was finally apprehended.

    After Snow was placed in the cruiser, he began slamming his head against the cage divider, causing cuts, bleeding and then unconsciousness.

    Alcala then stopped at the Rockland Fire Station to have Snow examined by EMS. After that, he was driven to Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport for treatment before he was taken to jail.

    While he was at the hospital, he continued to resist help and was yelling and swearing while being treated, according to the affidavit.

    Zachary L. Strout, 37, of Harrington, motor vehicle speeding: 30 plus miles over speed limit, dismissed.

    Branden R. Thompson, 32, of Belfast, operating while license suspended or revoked, $250 fine.

    Peter Yee, 64, of St. George, selling elvers without supplemental license, $2,000 fine.
