APPLETON — June happenings at Appleton Library include tech time, yoga, ‘Recycled’ art show reception, and an animation workshop with a registration deadline.

Saturday, June 1, 10:30 a.m.: Interiors Committee.  A discussion of options for computer carrels. Bring your ideas and images of examples, if you have photos.

Thursday evenings, June 6, 13, 20, and 27,  6 – 8 p.m.: Tech Assist.  Every Thursday evening, staff will be available to help with computer questions, and can help troubleshoot Microsoft and Google Docs issues.

Tuesday evenings, June 4, 11, 18 and 25,  6 - 7 p.m.: Gentle Yoga Flow with Kyla.  June 4 is the start of the next 8-week session through Journey to Health. Registration is required.  Register: https://journeytohealth. coursestorm.com.  The library needs a minimum number of students to hold this class.

Saturday, June 8, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Chewonki’s Traveling Nature Program: Tide Pools. This Chewonki traveling natural history program will draw crowds interested in all things related to tidal pools. This interactive display will feature three tide pools of Maine’s coast. Participants are encouraged to touch the ocean specimens.

Saturday, June 8, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Summer Reading Program registration. Sign up your child for our Summer Reading program.

Saturday, June 15, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.:  Deadline to register for week of July 15: Animation Workshop with Deb Vendetti for 8+.  Funded by a generous grant from the Maine State Library, this is a free workshop with a $25 refundable registration fee.  Preference given to Appleton residents and surrounding areas.  Register online at http://www.appletonlibraryme. org/ or email appletonlibraryjulie@gmail.com .

Tuesday, June 18, 3 – 4 p.m.:  Fiber Arts Tuesday.  Itching to complete that fiber arts project?  Come and stitch with others on the third Tuesday of every month.

Wednesday, June 19, 7 - 8/8:30 p.m.:  Library Monthly Board Meeting.  All are welcome!

Thursday, June 20, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.:  RECYCLED: from the waste bin to the wall Art Show Reception. You are invited to stop by the library view the submissions and meet the artists.  Artists include: Kathryn Adamsky, David Allen, Peter Conant, Gene DiLorenzo, Jackie Dunham, Elisabeth Goodridge, Claire Horne, Vera Morrison, Abbie Read, Owen Shugard, and Lisa Mossel Vietze.   

Weekly Children Activities: Saturdays at 10:30 a.m: StoryTime for children of any age!  Theme of the month is Maine's Marine Life!
