The Busline League continued regular season play for middle school basketball on Saturday, Jan. 12 across the Midcoast and several local schools were in action. 

Below are the scores and statistics from those games as reported to our sports department. 

8th Grade Boys Basketball: Oceanside 53, Boothbay 34

Oceanside held quarterly advantages of 15-8, 24-16 and 35-24. 

Scoring for Hayden Jacques (13 points), Alex Bartlett (10), Alex Collins (11), Noah Burns (five), Isaiah Meklin (four), Jason Leclerc (four), Duncan Natale (two), Ian Erskine (two) and Logan Brazier (two). 

Scoring for Boothbay were K. Ames (eight points), Kristan (eight), Amaral (five), Meader (five), Nenners (six), Morly (one) and Plummer (one). 

8th Grade Girls Basketball: Oceanside 75, Boothbay 19

Oceanside held quarterly advantages of 14-4, 36-9 and 54-13. 

Scoring for Oceanside were A. Hersey (15 points), B. Stasulis (11 points), A. Knowlton (two), S. Hansen (two), A. Makie (18), E. Sykes (eight) and A. Waterman (19). 

Scoring for Boothbay were Birter (one point), Gentry (11), Bennett (two) and Sledge (five).
