The Friends House opens June 11 for men in recovery

Tue, 06/05/2018 - 8:45am

The Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition is now accepting applications from men who wish to live at The Friends House in Rockland to help support their recovery from alcohol and other drugs.

This is a “Recovery Residence” which research has found to be particularly helpful when individuals in recovery lack a sober and safe place to live, a serious problem in Mid-Coast Maine.  Recovery Residences foster sobriety and healthy progress in mental, physical and spiritual health as well as help individuals heal the problems commonly associated with drug addiction.

Criteria for acceptance are a strong personal commitment for improvement within a communal setting.  Applicants may contact the Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition for more information and/or for an application by calling 207-701-1575 or by sending an email to info@midcoastrecovery.org.
