We are holding a one-hour session to introduce you to the training and requirements necessary for the position of school bus driver. Come and find out. This FREE class is taught by Julie Waters, the Transportation Director for MSAD 28 in Camden and Five Town CSD in Rockport. Drop in any time on March 6 between 9 a.m.-noon., at the Superintendent’s office on Lions Ln. (off Knowlton St.) in downtown Camden.

New Books, New Readers is a new book club brought to our communities through a collaboration with the Maine Humanities Council. Its goal is to encourage reluctant adult readers to find the joy in reading. New Books, New Readers uses books at various, accessible reading levels to open the world of books and ideas. Participants learn to love reading by engaging in facilitated discussions that relate a book’s themes to their own lives. Readers are given a copy of every book in the series to keep and are encouraged to share their enjoyment with family and friends. The book club meets the last Tuesday of the month through May, beginning 2/26, at 6:00-7:30 pm. FREE, but registration is required.
