ROCKPORT — Many older adults experience a fear of falling. People who develop this fear often limit their activities, which can result in physical weakness, making the risk of falling even greater.

A Matter of Balance is a program designed for community-dwelling adults age 60 and older to increase activity levels and reduce the fear of falling.

This class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 5 - 28, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Penobscot Shores.

If you are concerned about falls, have sustained falls in the past year, or are interested in improving your flexibility, balance and strength, this class is for you, according to a news release.

This program is free but space is limited so pre-registration is required. Visit journeytohealth.coursestorm.com or call 921-3950 to register.
