Francis Boscoe to share “Adventures in Learning to Speak Italian in Italy”

Event has passed

ROCKPORT — “Many of us have dreamed of learning a second language, but have you ever considered traveling to the source?” said Rockport Public Library, in a news release.

Francis Boscoe of Camden recently traveled to Turin, Italy, to attend a language-immersion school with fellow students from Ireland, Switzerland, Poland, Brazil and Japan.

The public is invited to the Rockport Public Library on Saturday, January 20, at 2 p.m., to hear Boscoe's story – including his chance meeting with his Italian movie-star cousin. The talk will be accompanied by beautiful images of the Piemonte region of Italy.

Francis Boscoe is a geographer, musician, poet, and sometimes substitute teacher residing in Camden. In 2023 he published two poetry chapbooks, Capture-Recapture and High School Reunions, and Other Mild Letdowns. The first of these is available in an Italian edition.
