Five local girls soccer teams qualify for playoffs

The 2018 girls soccer regular season has come to a close and five local teams have qualified for the playoffs.

Here are the final regular season records for all the teams in our coverage area as well as the playoff seeds and opening round playoff games.

The preliminary round will take place Saturday, Oct. 20 while the quarterfinals will be held Wednesday, Oct. 24. The semifinals will be held Saturday, Oct. 27. The regional finals are set for Wednesday, Oct. 31 and the state championships will be held Saturday, Nov. 3.

Belfast 2-12 Class B North Finished 19th (of 21 teams)
Camden Hills 14-0 Class A North Finished 1st (of 12 teams)
Medomak Valley 8-3-3 Class B North Finished 4th (of 21 teams) 
Mount View 10-4 Class B North Finished 7th (of 21 teams) 
Oceanside 8-4-2 Class B North Finished 6th (of 21 teams) 
Searsport 6-8 Class D South Finished 6th (of 13 teams) 
Vinalhaven/North Haven 1-12 Class D South Finished 12th (of 13 teams) 

Playoff Pairings

Class A North: #1 Camden Hills earned a bye in the preliminaries; host #8 Hampden Academy in quarterfinals. 
Class B North: #4 Medomak Valley will host #13 John Bapst.
Class B North: #6 Oceanside will host #11 Waterville.  
Class B North: #7 Mount View will host #10 Ellsworth. 
Class D South: #6 Searsport received a bye in the preliminaries; travel to #3 Greenville in quarterfinals.
