The First National Bank donates $15,000 to food pantries

ROCKLAND — The First National Bank recently announced that it has made donations totaling $15,000 to 21 food banks in bank's market area.

"First National Bank is grateful for the critical services that our food banks provide to our neighbors in need," said Tony C. McKim, President and CEO, in a news release. "As a Maine community bank, it is our goal to respond to the needs of these vital organizations that serve and help these families put food on the table."

Area Interfaith Outreach (AIO) Food Pantry,  at 70 Thomaston Street in Rockland, was a recipient of these funds.

The pantry was established in 1990, and serves more than 12,000 individuals in Knox County each year. They are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to noon and everyone is welcome. For more information, call 207-596-1043.
