Only one declared candidate for eight seats

Few candidates make for easy voting in Appleton

    APPLETON — Voters in Appleton had a relatively easy time casting their June 11 ballots with only one declared candidate appearing on the ballot despite eight open municipal seats. 

    Peter C. Beckett was the lone candidate appearing on the ballot in Appleton as he sought reelection to his three-year seat on the select board. 

    There were no candidates on the ballot for two Appleton Village school board seats, a planning board associate member, two regular planning board member seats, another select board seat or a Five Town school board seat.
