ROCKLAND — Rockland Library is crazy about dinosaurs, according to a news release. This year the Library is celebrating with a different activity every day of February vacation, Feb 19- Feb 22.

Attend for one or two days, or the entire week of Dino fun.

No sign-up required, Rockland Library policy states that children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

    The schedule is as follows:

Tues, Feb 19 at 10:30 a.m.: Rockin’ and Roarin’ Storytime

Join Miss Katie for a special dinosaur storytime full of stories, songs, and dances, followed by two dino crafts.

Wed, Feb 20 at 11 a.m.: Exploring REAL Fossils

Join staff in the Children’s room, along with Jon Wallace, former teacher and fossil enthusiast, while he shares his special collections and the stories behind them.

Thurs, Feb 21 at 3:45 p.m.: Dino Science!

Join Ms. Jessie and Miss Katie for fossil and dinosaur science experiments. Learn about the science behind the Mesozoic Era, and bring part of your experiment home.

Fri, Feb 22 at 10:30 a.m.: Dino Mural

Join Ms. Patty and Miss Katie for some dinosaur painting fun. Help create a library mural that will be displayed for all to see.

Bonus! All week, a large dino skeleton on display, built by Peter Proeller, and part of which was created by kids at last year’s Dino Day.
