Creatures of Habit performs benefit dance concert for local resident
ROCKPORT — Creatures of Habit will perform a benefit dance for Gary Clancy at the Rockport Opera House, Saturday, Feb. 16.
Clancy has been recently diagnosed with cancer, and due to medical complications, has been out of work for close to two years.
“Clancy has been a positive influence in the Midcoast music scene for decades,” according to a news release.
Most recently he has been performing as a member of Creatures of Habit. He has also taught at the University of Maine Augusta, Midcoast Music Academy, and K2 Music.
His love for music has been evident from the classroom to the stage with many people locally and throughout New England impacted by his passionate artistry on the guitar, the release said.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Dance is from 7 to 10 p.m.
Suggested donation $15 per person, $25 per couple at the door. No advance tickets.
Cash bar provided by Waterworks and pizza by Flatbread.
