Celebrate Yuletide in St. George

Fri, 11/23/2018 - 2:15pm

Don’t miss the St. George Business Alliance’s 15th annual “Yuletide in St. George ” holiday kick-off event on Friday and Saturday, November 23 and 24. Along Route 131, from Hollyberry Lane to the villages of Tenants Harbor and Port Clyde, St. George business owners and community organizations are holding craft fairs and Yuletide sales of artwork, antiques, books, calendars, holiday ornaments and wreaths, unique Maine-made gifts, stocking stuffers and food items to please everyone on your holiday shopping list. Colorful red “YULETIDE” signs and event maps will identify participating locations.

The SGBA invites residents and visitors to support its St. George merchants and non-profits by “shopping local” this holiday season. Many locations are featuring handcrafted, one-of-a-kind gift items. On Saturday, the Ocean View Grange and the Order of the Eastern Star are holding craft fairs and serving lunch until 2:00 pm. The Marshall Point Lighthouse and Museum Gift Shop will also be open to welcome shoppers. Proceeds from Gift Shop sales will support the iconic Lighthouse’s ongoing restoration.

The St. George Business Alliance is a local non-profit trade association of businesses, individuals and non-profit organizations whose mission it to promote business and cultural prosperity in St. George.
