Camden candidates return nomination papers for June Town Meeting elections

    CAMDEN — Candidates got their papers back to the Camden Town Office by 3:30 p.m., today, April 13, to get their names officially on the ballot for open seats on the Select Board, SAD 28 and Five Town CSD school boards, as well as the town’s Personnel Committee.

    For the Select Board, two candidates stepped forward to run for two empty seats. Jenna Lookner, who currently is on the Select Board, is seeking a three-year term. Taylor Benzie is also seeking election to the Select Board.

    Chairman John French has decided not to seek reelection to the board.

    Lynda Chilton, who sits on School Administrative District 28 and the Five Town CSD school boards, is seeking reelection for a three-year term. 

    Competing for those school board seats is Patrick McCafferty

    Stephanie Griffin and Jonathan Bitler are seeking to fill the two open seats on the town’s personnel board.
