Benner promoted at Damariscotta Bank and Trust

WALDOBORO — Marcia Benner, of Waldoboro, has recently been promoted to senior vice president, chief administrative officer, at Damariscotta Bank and Trust.

In her new role, Benner will continue to be responsible for the human resources, branch administration and marketing functions. She will be assuming new responsibilities of leading the operations and compliance department as well as taking on other administrative duties for the bank.

Benner offers more than 15 years of experience to banking having held several positions with DB&T. She graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a Master’s of Science in Organizational Leadership and a graduate certificate in Human Resource Management. In June of this year, she graduated from a banking program through the New England School for Financial Studies.

She maintains two HR certifications.

Benner has held several volunteer positions dedicated to HR including director for the SHRM Maine State Council. She volunteers for the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute, United Way’s Success by Six Council, the Center of Financial Training and at her children's school.

She lives in Waldoboro with her husband Chad and her three boys Colby, Connor and Colton.
