Belfast Police beat: theft, OUI, improper passing

    BELFAST — Belfast Police reported the following activity Nov. 13-18. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

    Nov. 14

    Stacey L. Sweetland, 34, of Searsmont, was issued a summons for failure to provide proof of insurance on Main Street.

    Nov. 15

    Christopher Harris, 33, of Belfast, was arrested for unpaid fines.

    Travis J. Allen, 43, of Orland, was issued a summons for improper passing on Northport Avenue.

    Nov. 16

    Christopher Seidl, 22, of Liberty, was arrested for operating without a license, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and violating conditions of release on Northport Avenue.

    Mondrian R. Shumate, 33, of Belfast, was arrested for operating under the influence on High Street. Shumate was also issued summonses for speeding 40 mph in a 25 mph zone, operator possessing an open alcohol container on a public way and operating without headlights after sunset.

    Nov. 18

    Joshua R. Kimball, 19, of Northport, was arrested for failure to appear.
