Beatrice "Sweet Bea"(Shute) Harriman, 70 of Stockton Springs, passed away November 7, 2017 in Brewer.

She was born March 30, 1947 in Stockton Springs to Manly and Barbara (Grindle) Shute Jr.

Beatrice attended school in Stockton Springs and Searsport. She was employed at "The Trend" and more recently at Mathew Brothers.

Beatrice and her husband also enjoyed seafood processing for many years and she made wreaths for local churches. She loved volunteering for Stockton Springs recreations at the concession stand as well as while they were in Zephyrhills, Florida.

She is predeceased by her parents; brothers Donald Shute and Manly True Shute III. Beatrice is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Richard of Stockton Springs; her daughters, Darlene Hodgdon and husband Edward Jr., of Stockton Springs; Lynn O'Brien and husband Patrick, of New Ipswich, N.H; Melissa Moody and husband Darrin, of Stockton Springs; her siblings, Arthur Shute, of Stockton Springs; Benjamin Shute, of Belfast; Dona Seekins, of Zephyrhills, Fla.; grandchildren, Alicia Birmingham, Heidi Hodgdon, Sierra Farrell, Megan Andersen, Jay Faford, Dillan and Daegan Moody and 10 great-grandchildren; many special friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday November 18 from 1 got 5 p.m. at Searsport First Congregational Church 8 Church St Searsport, ME 04974. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home Belfast, Me. Memories and condolences may be offered at ripostafh.com.
