SEARSPORT — April programs at Carver Memorial Library, in Searsport, include end-of-life discussions, book discussions, and the annual Tea.

    End Stage
    Thursday, April 4, 6 – 7:30 p.m.

Advance health care planning; are you wondering why it is important?  Are you procrastinating having the conversation with those closest to you?  Unsure of how to start that discussion?

Join the Library for the Palliative Players' performance of End Stage. Through improvised, unscripted role playing, they act out possible end of life scenarios and conversations. They explore decisions and wishes that might arise in a health crisis at the end of life, and offer suggestions for talking with loved ones.

Featuring family conversations about serious illness, these scenes are hard, sweet, funny, and memorable, according to the Library, in a news release.

Presented by Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County.

    Book Lovers Discussion
    Thursday, April 11, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.

Come talk about books you’ve read from the Library’s collection, enthuse with fellow bookworms, and find your next read while enjoying tea and cookies. April is National Poetry Month — do you have a favorite poem, poet, or anthology?

    The Conversation
    Tuesday, April 23, 4:30 – 6 p.m.

End-of-life care is not easy to talk about but these are some of the most important conversations you can have with your loved ones. This class will help you consider what is most important to you so you can gain confidence with starting end-of-life care conversations on your own.

Free. To register, visit journeytohealth.coursestorm.com or call 921-3950.

    Annual Tea
