UNION — Alicia "Lisa" Niles, 58, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018 after an extended illness.

Born in Bath, she lived at the Ram Island Lighthouse with her parents and two siblings. Here she created many wonderful memories that she held dearest to her heart.

After their tenure as lighthouse keepers they returned to live in Rockland, where she graduated from RDHS and started her journey of life. After graduation she had her first child, Carrie with Clinton. After a while Lisa and Clinton married and had another daughter, Morgan.

Throughout her life she had meaningful jobs and met many wonderful people. She felt very blessed to have met so many people, many of whom she embraced as family. In 1998 Lisa married Paul Niles and began a new book in her life.

Lisa’s main passion was her family. She learned from an early age that family makes your life blessed, and she carried on that tradition with all that knew her. Her children and grandchildren were her shinning lights, who will continue to be abundantly bright so that their Mom/Grammie can watch over them.

Lisa was a very artistic creator. She enjoyed spending time with her Pine Tree Quilters Guild friends and shared her passion with many over the years.

Thank you to all who helped her in this life. She was a very courageous lady who gave the battle of her life and never asked for anything in return but peace. She was very grateful to know you all and call many of you her family.

Lisa was predeceased by her parents, Harold Cummings and Lucy Lewis, her sister Hope and lots of furry family members.

Lisa left behind to continue their courageous journey the following family that she held dearest, and those that will never be forgotten: her husband Paul Niles, whom she shared some great memories with, and his family that she had made her own; her daughter Carrie and her husband Corey and granddaughter Kyra; a daughter Alexandra her husband Chris and two granddaughters, Taylor and Gabrielle; a daughter Morgan with her fiancé Andrew and two grandsons, Mac and Alizha; her son Maxwell who is currently in The United States Army in Texas; her sisters Brenda, Elaine, Cindi, and Faith; two brothers, Russell and Wayne, Jr. and their significant others; a stepmother Eloise and stepfather Wayne, Sr.

Lisa also had many nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends. She loved you all dearly.

At this time a small get together will be held in January and a party of her life will be held when the weather is warmer.

In lieu of flowers, Lisa would ask that you consider making a donation to The Lucie Lindsey Scholarship fund c/o Camden National Bank/Oceanside High School.

Arrangements are in the care of Burpee, Carpenter and Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland.
