Here are a few easy and sustainable gift wrapping ideas.  If it’s pretty- leave it alone.  That’s what I’m doing with my pretty green cookie cutter.  What can you put in a Mason jar- just about anything from treats to booze to tea to candy to.......  Fill a decorative tin.  Reuse a holiday card or envelope for gift or experience certificates.  A cloth napkin is pretty and festive.

I’m also literally going thru closets and drawers for bits and bobs that make perfect containers.  Tins, baskets, cloth bags, shopping bags, scarves, socks.  There are so many ways to celebrate without making a mountain of trash.

Don’t forget when opening gifts to separate out all the different materials.  In general gift wrap can not be recycled so plan on reusing paper otherwise your beautiful gift turns into holiday trash.
