Marine Science Summer Camp at Herring Gut Learning Center
Come spend a week with us at Herring Gut Learning Center in Port Clyde and discover the different coastal habitats of Maine! Every day we will visit incredible field sites for hands-on ocean exploration guided by out experienced and talented staff. Camp runs Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the exception of mini sessions July 23th-26th and August 13th-16th. The 4-day mini sessions will be Monday-Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The last day of each camp session will end an hour early for celebration of learning. Family and friends are encouraged to attend.

On Thursdays* we hop on the boat, Archangel, named for the boat George Weymouth famously sailed when he discovered Allen Island in 1605. Campers will have a chance to travel a few miles offshore to discover 450-acre Allen Island too! This beautiful private island has many of the marine habitats discussed throughout the week and is waiting to be explored!
* Mini sessions will not travel to Allen Island.
