Mason jars make great gifts- especially the last minute variety.  You can fill jars with just about anything including infused booze, sprouts, yummy food, granola, dried fruits, jams, yogurt.....  Then after the jars are empty you keep on using them.  I like the tiny ones for freezing pesto, the mid size ones make great and trendy drinking glasses and the big ones I use to freeze stock.  When freezing with glass make sure you leave some extra room at the top.  Plus all sizes are great for storing bulk food items.  Mason jars are zero waste, practical and so pretty you don’t have to wrap.
