Why do clothing companies feature tall, skinny models in their entire collection?  What about us real women?  I was having coffee and a mail catch up and I decided to look thru some fall catalogs for inspiration.  Party for work and partly because I love to sew.  When an entire collection is composed of “skinnies” it sends such a message to the female population.  Especially as we age we struggle with our self worth which is often tied to appearance.  We doubt we can be loved because of our body shape.  We need to remember “fat thighs, flabby arms and a pot belly still make good loving” and the first person to love is ourselves.
