Whew!  Valentine’s Day is over.  Personally it’s a tough holiday but I totally love the idea of love.  Love of self, friends and family, community and our planet.  It’s just all this love can be hard to balance.  One way to move towards balance is to think about your purchasing.  Impulse buying is the worst- especially for the delicate balance of trying to create less trash.  Shopping local, small and planning ahead can help reduce holiday waste.  Here’s my BYO container I used at Rock City.  I bought a slice of yummy chocolate cake for a treat and did not use any packaging- either plastic or compostable.
