As the election winds down I feel that it is important to let the constituents of Camden, Rockport and Islesboro know where and how I spent my clean election funds. I appreciate the Clean Election system and feel fortunate that the program exists here in Maine. It was nice to know that I could go door to door discussing public policy without having to ask anyone for over $5.

In total I received $10,675 from the Maine Clean Election Fund plus $775 in seed money. Of this total, 98% of the money spent was within a 40 mile radius of District 94. The 2% out of area expense was spent on website hosting and boosting posts on social media.  Our local area is rich with all of the resources needed to run a robust campaign: small graphic designers, videographers, printing companies, media outlets etc. Reusing material from previous campaigns like signs, postcards, t-shirts, magnets and stickers was helpful in keeping costs down.

Buy local, spend local, be thrifty and adapt, these are Maine traits and something we should all strive for. That is why I will be giving over $1500 of my clean election funds back to the tax payers. Please vote to re-elected me on November 6, so that I can continue balancing needs and wants, achieving successful outcomes while conserving resources for the constituents of District 94.
