Storm cancellations and postponements

    MIDCOAST — With a storm filling the region with snow, government, businesses and organizations have made  scheduling adjustments.

    Postponements and cancellations can be emailed to news@penbaypilot.com and will updated throughout the storm.

    The Safety Forum being hosted by the MSAD #28/Five Town CSD school districts has been postponed. Communication on the new date for the forum will be shared as soon as possible.

    The Warren Town Office and the Warren Transfer Station are closed today due to the storm.

    Midcoast Solid Waste Transfer Station in Rockport is closed all day, Thursday, March 8. 

    The Penobscot Bay YMCA, the Flanagan Community Center, and the Rockland Harbor YMCA Child Care Centers will be closed Thursday, March 8.

    All state offices are closed Thursday, March 8.

    The Lincolnville Town Office will be closed March 8.
     
    The Maine State Legislature and its offices will be closed on Thursday, March 8, due to winter storm.  

    The Knox County Administrative Offices, Knox County Superior Court, and Rockland District Court will all be closed, tomorrow, Thursday March 8, 2018 due to the storm.  They will re-open on Friday March 9, 2018, at 8 a.m.

    The Rockport Town Office will be closed on Thursday, March 8.

    The Rockport Public Library will be closed tomorrow Thursday morning.  It will reopen at noon. 

    The Camden Town Office will open at noon on Thursday, March 8 unless weather conditions are severe enough to merit further delay.

    The Camden Public Library will be closed on Thursday morning, March 8, due to the snowstorm. The afternoon schedule is still to be determined, please check back or check the Library website.  "Tracking Biodiversity in Acadia's Coastal Refuge" talk will not take place on Thursday, March 8. Instead, the CPL will be will be working with presenter Seth Benz and the Midcoast Maine Audubon to reschedule. A new date will be announced.

    The Five Town CSD board and finance committee meetings have both been postponed until Wednesday, March 14. The finance committee meeting will take place at 6 p.m. and the board meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Both will be held in the Camden Hills Regional High School chorus room.

    The Belfast Area High School has postponed their ‘Harlem Superstars’ event until Monday, March 26 at 7 p.m. Tickets already purchased will be honored on the rescheduled date.

    The Union Planning Board public hearing and meeting scheduled for Thursday March 8 has been postponed to Thursday March 15.

    The Camden Budget Committee meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 8 has been cancelled. The committee will meet Thursday, March 15 at 6 p.m. in the Washington St. Conference room as scheduled.

    The Bureau of Motor Vehicles has cancelled all driver’s license exams scheduled for Thursday, March 8. Those who are scheduled for an exam on Thursday will automatically be rescheduled and will receive notice of a new exam date via the mail. Applicants do not need to take any action to receive a new exam date. Any applicant who is concerned about the expiration date of his/her driver license permit due to the rescheduling of the exam should contact the Driver License Examination & Scheduling Unit at 624-9000, Ext. 52119.

    The West Bay Rotary 7 a.m. meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 8 has been cancelled due to the storm.
