ROCKPORT – The 24th Annual Business and Community Expo, presented by the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce, was held at the Samoset Resort in Rockport on April 12, from 2 to 7 p.m. The show sold out of available booths, with 110 area businesses, educational, charitable and service organizations. Exhibitors had show specials, give-aways and drawings.

"We are very pleased," said chamber Executive Director Tom Peaco. "We are less then an hour into this and we're already seeing larger crowds then we would have expected at this time. We done a lot of promotion and we're expecting a big show from our vendors. The area looks forward to this in early April and it's one of those signs of spring we look for."

He added: "We have intermingled the businesses and nonprofits throughout the show rather then grouping them in one location. We're trying to put a fresh face on the expo so you don't come and find the same businesses in the same place. We hope people see some new things and meet some new people."
