West Bay Rotary thanks all the chowder challengers

West Bay Rotary thanks all participants and congratulates the winners for helping the organization raise funds to support local causes. Its annual Chowder Challenge, at Windjammer Festival, held over Labor Day Weekend in Camden, served 300 with 56 gallons of chowder.

“We also thank all 300 of our judges who helped us raise thousands of dollars to make the Midcoast better one family, one child, one person at a time,” said Rotary spokesman Ray Fink, in a press release. “We appreciate your help in keeping our goal of contributing to making the Midcoast better for the less fortunate.” 

Participants were:

    • Graffams Seafood Market, first place winner
    • Waterfront Restaurant
    • Marriners Restaurant
    • French & Brawn Market
    • Pen Bay Hospital Café, second place winner
    • Sea Dog Brewery and Restaurant
    • Lobster Pound Restaurant
    • 'The Chowder Chicks', third place winner
