THOMASTON — The Union Fair – Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival unveiled its 2024 Union Fair/ Maine’s Wild Blueberry Poster on March 29, at Oceanside Middle School.

Sylvia Percy, of Warren, the 6-8 Grade Art Teacher at Oceanside Middle School, is the 2024 Union Fair / Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival Poster Contest Winner. 

At a school assembly in front of her students and peers Percy’s poster was unveiled for the first time by the 2023 Maine Wild Blueberry Queen, Jaycie Brown, and the 2023 Maine Wild Blueberry Crown Princess, Kylie Blake. Brown and Blake also present Percy with the $750 cash prize.

The winning artwork was voted upon by the Union Fair Trustees, who selected her poster from 12 submitted entries. 

Percy’s artwork will now be used as the official 2024 Union Fair poster. The poster will be displayed at local businesses in the near future. It will also be used in various ways to include being the cover for the 2024 Union Fair schedule brochure, displayed on the Union Fair Webpage, and Union Fair social media pages.
