Waldoboro Police beat: Stolen smelt traps, arrest warrants, thefts

    WALDOBORO - Waldoboro police responded to 234 calls for service from Dec. 19-Jan. 2. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt.

    Dec. 20        

    Officer Larry Hesseltine is investigating a report from a citizen that his wallet may have been stolen.

    Dec. 21        

    Anthony Feltis, 31, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Hessletine for uninsured motor vehicle. 

    Tyler Cheney, 20, of Pemiquid, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for uninsured motor vehicle.

    Karrie Prior, 25, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Hessletine for attaching false plates.

    Evan Benner, 26, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Hesseltine on a warrant.

    Dec. 22        

    Shawn Brewer, 34, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for operating after suspension.

    Wesley Winchenbach, 39, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Hesseltine on a warrant.

    Dec. 23

    Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from a citizen of the theft of smelt traps.

    Fuller investigated an accident on Friendship Road at 10:05 a.m. Eric Overlock, 27, of Union, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet pickup truck. Overlock’s vehicle went off the roadway due to road conditions, struck a mailbox post causing damage to his vehicle. No injuries were reported.

    Officer Chris Spear is investigating a report from a citizen of the theft of a package that was delivered to her residence, but she did not receive it.

    Lisa Wallace, 52, of Nobleboro, was issued a summons by Spear for operating after suspension. 

    Dec. 24        

    Kurt Martin, 61, of Union, was arrested by Officer Andrew Santheson for operating under the influence.

    Dec. 26        

    Fuller is investigating a report from a citizen of the theft of medication.                  

    Hesseltine is investigating a report from a citizen that she is receiving harassing text messages.

    Hesseltine investigated an accident on Old Augusta Rd, at 10:15 p.m. Cindy Konecny, 25, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2006 Toyota utility vehicle. Konecny was westbound following the roadway and then lost control on the slippery surface, went off the road and struck a fence. No injuries were reported.

    Hesseltine is investigating a report from a citizen of the theft of an undisclosed amount of money.

    Dec. 27   

    Officer Thomas Bartunek is investigating a report from a citizen of the theft of some money.

    Dec. 29

    Spear investigated an accident on Genthner Road at 3:58 p.m. Tiffany Feltis, 42, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2004 GMC utility vehicle. Feltis was traveling eastbound, following the roadway when shelost control and went off the road on the westbound lane, hitting a utility pole. Spear reported that Feltis was driving too fast for road conditions. No injuries were reported. 

    Dec.

    Hesseltine investigated an accident on the Bremen Road at 7:45 p.m. Nicholas Emerson, 26, of Warren, was driving a 2000 Mercury sedan. Emerson was traveling southbound when he lost control after hitting black ice, left the roadway and struck a tree. Injuries were reported for the driver and his passenger. 

    Dec. 31 

    Chase Breen, 27, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Spear on a warrant.

    Fuller is investigating a report from a citizen of the theft of some items from her residence.
