WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 109 calls for service from Jan. 17-23. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. 

Jan. 18        

Tyler Peavey, 30, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Officer Larry Hesseltine for failure to register motor vehicle. 

Sally Fuller, 31, of Tenants Harbor, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for uninspected motor vehicle and failure to produce evidence of insurance. 

Robert Harvey, 24, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for operating after suspension.                 

Sgt. Jamie Wilson investigated an accident on the Atlantic Highway at 7:48 p.m. Courtney McDonald, 21, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2012 Hyundi sedan. Robin Cohen, 50, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2005 Chrysler van. McDonald was parked in Bella Gia’s parking lot in parking row closest to the Atlantic Highway. Cohen was parked in the second row of the parking lot. The vehicle was backed in the parking spot. McDonald backed up from her parking spot and struck Cohen’s vehicle, causing damage to the front end. McDonald then left the scene. No injuries were reported.                     

Tony Thurman, 50, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Hesseltine for three counts of domestic violence assault and two counts of domestic violence criminal threatening.

A 17-year-old male juvenile, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Spear for criminal trespass. 

A 16-year-old male juvenile, of Union, was issued a summons by Spear for criminal trespass. 

Jan. 20 

Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from a citizen that she is receiving harassing phone calls and text message.
