Waldoboro Police beat: Criminal trespass, theft, unsworn falsification

    WALDOBORO - Waldoboro Police responded to 281 calls for service from Aug. 18-24. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.  

    Aug. 19 

    Zachary Genthner, 23, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Officer Larry Hesseltine for violation of conditional release and criminal trespass. 

    Aug. 20 

    Gregory Hood, 42, of Cushing, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for uninspected motor vehicle. 

    John Crowell, 58, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for uninspected motor vehicle. 

    Shawn Brewer, 32, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Hesseltine for theft and violation of conditional release.                       

    Dezarae McPhee, 21, of Warren, was arrested by Hesseltine for theft and unsworn falsification. 

    Sgt. Jamie Wilson investigated an accident at the intersection of Manktown and Union Roads at 4:45 p.m. Richard Warner, 59, of St. George, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet utility vehicle. Abigail Read, 60, of Appleton, was driving a 2006 Volvo utility vehicle. Warner’s vehicle was traveling west on Manktown Road, approaching the intersection with Union Road. Read’s vehicle was travelling north on Union Road. Warner’s vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Union Rd. Warner’s vehicle entered the intersection and struck Read’s vehicle, causing both vehicles to spin into the southbound ditch on Union Road. Warner’s vehicle rolled onto its side and struck a large tree before coming to rest in the southbound ditch. Injuries were reported. 

    Aug. 23 

    Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from a resident of the theft of medication. 

    Aug. 24 

    Fuller is investigating a report from a resident that criminal mischief was done to signs on her property.
