Waldoboro Police beat: Criminal mischief, accidents

    WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 95 calls for service from Sept. 26-Oct. 3. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

    Sept. 26      

    Officer Larry Hesseltine is investigating a report from a citizen that someone broke into his building and stole speakers valued at $100.

    Hesseltine investigated an accident at the Jefferson Street/Depot Street/ Atlantic Highway intersection at 12:28 p.m. Lewis Gower, 73, of Dresden, was driving a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle. David Tenney, 79, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2008 GMC pickup truck. Gower was traveling eastbound following the roadway on the Atlantic Highway. Tenney was traveling southbound, starting in traffic and failed to yield the right of way. Injuries were reported. 

    Sept. 27      

    Maitland Williams, 35, of Bremen, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for operating after suspension, attaching false plates, and failure to show proof of insurance. 

    Officer Tom Bartunek investigated an accident on the Washington Road at 7:13 p.m. Jeannine Jameson, 58, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2001 Chrysler sedan. Jameson was traveling southbound following the roadway. A deer ran out in front of the vehicle and the driver was unable to avoid hitting deer. No injuries were reported. 

    Sept. 29      

    Dylan O’Reilly, 16, of Union, was issued a summons by Officer Chris Spear for operation beyond limits.

    Sept. 30      

    Denise Bizer, 50, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Andrew Santheson on a warrant.

    Oct. 1          

    Krystal Roock, 28, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Spear for criminal mischief.

    Oct. 2      

    Joel Winchenbach, 33, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for uninspected motor vehicle and failure to show proof of insurance.

    Roy Elliott, 49, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for operating after suspension.
