Waldoboro Police beat: Arrest warrants, OUI, accidents

    WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 92 calls for service from Aug. 8-15. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

    Aug. 9         

    Todd Dodge, 44, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Larry Hesseltine on a warrant.

    Zachary Genthner, 25, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Hesseltine on a warrant.

    Aug. 10       

    Leana Hendrickson, 29, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Hesseltine for reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and refusing to submit to arrest/detention. 

    Hesseltine investigated an accident on Old Route One at 9:30 a.m. Brian Marks, 47, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2011 Ford pickup truck. David Boynton, 19, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2000 Lexus sedan. Marks was traveling eastbound, following the roadway. Boynton was backing out of a driveway when he struck Marks. No injuries were reported. 

    Aug. 11      

    Tylor Miller, 22, of Camden, was issued a summons by Officer Chris Spear for attaching false plates. 

    Aug. 12       

    Officer John Lash investigated an accident at the intersection of Atlantic Highway and Main Street at 8:38 p.m. Joel Bickford, 28, of Eustis, was driving a 2012 Mercedes Benz sedan. Kelsey Brooks, 17, of Cushing, was driving a Ford, sedan. Bickford was traveling eastbound on the Atlantic Highway, overtaking and making an improper pass. Brooks was traveling eastbound on the Atlantic Highway, following the roadway. No injuries were reported.

    Joel Bickford, 28, of Eustis, was arrested by Lash for operating under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident. 

    Aug. 13       

    Monica Bustell, 50, of Simsbury, Conn., was issued a summons by Lash for operating under the influence. 

    Aug. 14       

    April Blake, 45, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Spear for theft. 

    Lash is investigating a report from a citizen of harassing emails.
