WALDOBORO – The Dustin J. Osier 5K walk-run was held Saturday, June 27 at Medomak Valley High School to raise money for the DJO Scholarship/Athletic Fund.

This 5k was a little different than most as it was held on the incredible cross country trail at Medomak Valley.

As this was more about the event then the times, there were as many if not more walkers than runners as people just wanted to support this event in memory of a young man from Medomak that left us way too early after dying in an automobile accident on Aug. 9 2011.

This event was organized by Osier’s aunt, Marcie Creamer, with help from George Gould timing and setting up the course and many volunteers stepping up to make it happen.
