Thomaston is holding a town-wide cleanup May 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., sponsored by the Conservation Commission.
Meet behind the Business Block at 10 a.m.; the town will supply bags, gloves, some grabbers, and vests.
The focus will be to clean up neighborhoods, parks, schools, and town-owned roads.
Dexter Street is a high priority where citizens will have a police presence on site to ensure the safety of volunteers.
Return all waste collected either to the Business Block before 2 p.m. or to the Transfer Station located on Buttermilk Drive in Thomaston. The Transfer Station closes at 4 p.m. on Saturday.)
