THOMASTON — As a result of the April 19 arrest of 64-year-old Robert J. Robinson of Thomaston for alleged sex crimes against two children, more victims stepped forward and the Knox County Sheriff’s Office arrested Robinson again for additional alleged offenses.

In an April 26 news release, Chief Deputy Tim Carroll said that Detective Justin Twitchell investigated the additional complaints and obtained another warrant Tuesday to arrest Robinson.

Robinson is facing new charges of  one count of unlawful sexual contact, Class B, and unlawful sexual touching, Class D. As before, the alleged victims are under the age of 14.

New bail was set at $500, and Robinson is currently being held at Knox County Jail, according to the news release.

Following an earlier complaint from a concerned parent and a subsequent investigation, Twitchell arrested Robinson on April 13 and charged him with two counts each of gross sexual assault, Class A, unlawful sexual contact, Class B and unlawful sexual touching, Class D. At that time, bail had been set at $25,000, unsecured.

Carroll said that the investigation is ongoing.
