Students take on staff this evening in Camden-Rockport Middle School basketball game

Tue, 03/21/2017 - 4:00pm

The eighth grade students and staff at Camden Rockport Middle School will compete in a fun and friendly game of co-ed basketball  this evening at the CRMS gym. The community is invited to this second annual benefit basketball game. The eighth grade students voted on which local charity should benefit from the game, with LifeFlight of Maine winning the vote.

There is a non-traditional format to the game, where fans can "buy" points to support their favorite team, and try to even up the score. Last year the score was into the 400s for each team.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. start time for the game. Suggested donation at the door is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Pizza and concessions will be for sale. Points can be purchased for $1 each. At half-time there will be a very short presentation by LifeFlight staff and the sharing of a LifeFlight story by a local community member.
