RSU 71 and Waldo Cap are taking registrations for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students enrolling for the 2024-25 school year. 

Kindergarten:

RSU #71 elementary schools, Capt. Stevens School and East Belfast School are preparing for kindergarten screening for the 2024/2025 school year. Student screening will be held on May 16 and May 17. 

Gladys Weymouth School will be screening students on May 7 and May 8.

If you have a child who will be 5-years old on or before October 15, 2024, now is the time to contact the appropriate school to request information. 

All student registration for the 2024-25 school year will be done online. Once your child’s online registration has been processed, you will be contacted to set up a screening appointment for your child.

Pre-Kindergarten:

If you have a child who will be 4-years old on or before October 15, 2024, now is the time to contact Waldo Community Action Partners (WaldoCAP) to apply for Pre-K. Applications can be accessed online at WaldoCAP.org. Click the Early Childhood logo, then click Pre-K and scroll down and click on “Apply”. 

Applications will be scheduled starting in March for the 2024-2025 school year.
