Rockport Police beat: Operating after suspension, inspection violations

    ROCKPORT — Rockport police reported the following activity Sept. 9-14. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

    Sept. 9

    Jason Whitmore, 19, of Swanville, was issued a summons by Officer Dana Smith for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.

    Kimberly Sanderson, 45, of Searsmont, was issued a summons by Smith for inspection violation.

    David S. Edwards, 48, of Lincolnville, was issued a summon by Smith for speeding 70 mph in a 55 mph zone.

    Martin R. Smith, 69, of Thomaston, was issued a summons by Smith for inspection violation.

    Jason Kohl, 39, of Sparta, Tenn., was used a summons by Smith for operating without a license and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

    Sept. 10

    Randy Randall, 27, of Thomaston, was issued a summons by Smith for producing evidence of insurance not in effect.

    Sept. 11

    Collin Marshall, 19, transient, was arrested by Officer Robbie Shaw for operating after suspension and violating condition of release.

    Sept. 14

    Nathan A. Williams, 20, of Appleton, was issued a summons by Smith for failing to stop for a red light and operating without a license.
