Work began today, April 17, on rebuilding the historic Pascal Avenue High Sidewalk in Rockport.

Consequently, the sidewalk will be closed for reconstruction from just past the bridge to Pine Street (towards Route 1). Farley and Son, Inc. is performing the work and the town anticipates this project to take approximately two months.

When finished, the new $200,000 sidewalk is to be wider and safer for pedestrians to use. The town apologizes for any inconvenience this might cause.
