Rockland Police: Investigation leads to arrest of former employee in restaurant burglary

    ROCKLAND – An investigation by Rockland Police led to the arrest of a local transient in connection with a restaurant burglary.

    Jeremy Olson, 33, was charged with burglary and theft July 24 following an investigation by Detective Joel Neal, according to a press release from Rockland Police Sgt. Don Finnegan.  

    On July 13, Detective Joel Neal responded to a report from the Oyster Bar at the Pearl restaurant that someone had entered the restaurant during the night and stolen cash.  

    Detective Neal conducted the investigation and as able to develop evidence connecting Olson, a former employee, to the burglary. Detective Neal obtained an arrest warrant for Olson, charging both burglary and theft, according to the release. 

    Olson was located in Warren by deputies with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and taken in to custody.

    Olson is currently being held at the Knox County Jail.
