Rockland City Council to meet behind closed doors, followed by budget hearing

    ROCKLAND — The Rockland City Council will meet Monday evening, June 27, in executive session to talk with legal counsel about an unidentified issue. That meeting begins at 5:30 p.m., after which the council will shift gears and hold an open public hearing at 6 p.m. on the city’s $22 million 2017 budget. The council is facing another city manager search, following last week’s resignation of that past by James Chaousis. He had been on the job for a little more than one year.

    Both meetings will be held in the City Council Chambers, 270 Pleasant St., Rockland.
