Ragged Mountain Ski Club donates $21,324 to Camden Snow Bowl

Camden’s Camden Select Board accepted with gratitude a $21,324 check from the Ragged Mountain Ski Club for the Camden Snow Bowl, at its April 24 meeting.

The nonprofit Ragged Mountain Ski Club represents local citizens who, every year, raise funds for the Fourth Grade Learn to Ski program, in which all area schools are all invited to participate.

Funds raised also go toward the mountain’s scholarship account, to help provide the opportunity for all people, young and old, to ski.

The RMSC raises money throughout the year through annual membership dues and various events such as the Pancake Breakfasts at the Snow Bowl in the Fall.

Money from the club’s efforts also is directed toward  replacing outdated equipment and even capital improvements on the mountain.

The RMSC extends an invitation to all to join next season as club members and/or attend various fund raising events to help raise money for youth skiing in the area.

To learn more, and to get involved, plan to attend the club’s annual meeting May 20, 6 p.m., Camden Snow Bowl lodge.
